I've spent the last 15 years helping some of Australia's largest and most iconic purpose-driven organisations design human-centred systems and processes and utilise cutting-edge technology to scale their organisations, without the undesirable side effects of accelerated growth.
For the past four years, I've co-founded and run a purpose-driven consultancy (6 million in revenue in that time) where we've worked with some of Australia's best-known organisations to reinvent themselves in their mission to solve significant societal problems.
What struck me through that time was that coming up with a great idea that solved a real-world problem was never actually the tricky bit. The world is full of genuinely good ideas. What was hard was getting the infrastructure to build, market and deliver that product or service. That sucks! So the story becomes, have a great idea; then spend two years figuring out how to build the team, acquire funding, do the bookkeeping, manage the finance, hiring, marketing and I.T. Only after that trial by fire can you get back to solving the actual problem.
*and it's even more complex if you want your organisation to be ethical and sustainable
Solving the problem shouldn't be the "easy bit", and that's why our mission is to give every organisation the tools to be Impact Positive.
Among Millennials, 43% envision leaving their jobs within two years, while only 28% see themselves staying beyond five years, according to Deloitte.
“The war in Ukraine, lockdowns in China, supply-chain disruptions, and the risk of stagflation are hammering growth. For many countries, recession will be hard to avoid,”
– World Bank President David Malpass.
Artificial intelligence software is likely to be the most disruptive force in technology in the coming decade and companies that embrace AI may get a competitive edge, while those that don’t risk extinction – Bloomberg
